Yuan convertibility 'top priority' says Zhou

People's Bank of China governor Zhou Xiaochuan was quoted as saying the central bank will take steps to let market forces play a bigger role in determining the yuan's value as this is a "top priority".

China Central Television quoted Zhou as saying at the weekend that demand for a convertible yuan was building as China integrates into the regional and global economy.
