Financial supervisory body under Bank of Estonia

The Estonian parliament has decided by a majority of votes to place the integrated financial supervisory body under the Bank of Estonia. After the voting, the parliament interrupted the second reading of the bill and is expecting further motions for amendments by Mar 14, 2001. The bill wavered for three years between subordination to the government and the Bank of Estonia before it had its first reading in parliament on Jan 24, 2001.
