Hakkarainen new deputy at Bank of Finland

Pentti Hakkarainen, a member of the board at the Bank of Finland, is set to succeed Matti Louekoski as deputy governor in January 2008.

Harraninen, who has served on the board since 2001, was one of three candidates for the position.

The other two were fellow board member Sinikka Salo, and Seppo Honkapohja, a professor at Cambridge University who is set to join the board in January.
