RBA leaves rates steady

The Reserve Bank of Australia left interest rates on hold Wednesday for the ninth month in a row.

Australia's central bank has left interest rates unchanged, but economists said the case for an easing was gradually building.

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) as expected left the cash rate steady at 4.75 per cent on Wednesday, following its monthly monetary policy meeting on Tuesday.

Interest rates have been on hold for nine consecutive months, having last been increased last June.
