Libya names new bank governor, economy minister

LIBYA - Libya's top legislative and executive body, the General People's Congress, has split the finance and economy ministry and appointed a new central bank governor in a minor government reshuffle, officials said on Mar 26, 2001.

The former economy and finance ministry was divided into two departments, the Finance and Economy and Foreign Trade Ministries.

Lajili Abdessalam Brini, who headed the former Economy and Finance Ministry, kept the finance portfolio, and Abdessalam Ejuweir was named
