Sweden's Riksbank raises rates to 3%

The Sveriges Riksbank increased its repo rate to 3.00 pct from 2.75 pct Friday 15 December in response to rising inflation combined with continued good levels of economic activity.

It also signalled that further rate hikes lie ahead.

"Continued strong economic activity and rising inflation mean that the repo rate needs to be increased. It is reasonable to assume that interest rates will need to be increased further, roughly in line with recent market expectations," said the Riksbank.
