Duisenberg sees inflation below 2 pct in May
"It's my expectation that in May, euro zone inflation will be below two percent," he said in response to a question after delivering a speech to editors.
Duisenberg also said most economic developments had been in line with the ECB's expectations and were pointing to a gradual euro zone recovery in the course of this year.
