Chile Q3 GDP grew 5.8% in quarter - central bank

Gross domestic product (GDP) for Chile, which is recovering from a recession, grew 5.8% in the third quarter of this year versus the same period last year, the central bank said on Thursday.

In the first nine months of this year, GDP expanded a similar 5.8% compared with the same period last year, the institution said in a report. GDP also rose 5.8% in the first half of this year versus January through June 1999, it said.
