Euro may boost Hungary growth report shows

HUNGARY - Joining the euro could boost economic growth in Hungary by between 0.6 to 0.9 percentage points annually for 20 years, according to a report published yesterday by the National Bank of Hungary, the central bank.

While acknowledging the difficulty in evaluating the long-term effects, the report concludes that most of the growth will come from increased international trade, the Financial Times reported.
