Robust expansion ahead: Minneapolis Fed's Stern

Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis president Gary Stern said on Thursday 9 September that the US economy is likely to grow at a rate of 4 percent for the remainder of this year.

"It seems likely that the economy will grow at 4 percent over the balance of this year, and I think that's a reasonable number for next year as well," Stern told a gathering of business leaders at a lunch in Helena, Mont. "I also think inflation will remain low."
