G7 postpones 2-day meeting in Paris

The Group of Seven (G-7) finance ministers and central bank chiefs have postponed a two-day meeting in Paris scheduled to open 31 January, France's finance ministry said Thursday.

The G-7 put off the two-day meeting as some finance ministers would be unable to attend, the spokesman said. France's news media speculated that the G-7 meeting was called off as U.S. Treasury Secretary-nominee John Snow has yet to obtain Senate confirmation and would be unable to attend.
