US - Federal Reserve Bank of New York President William McDonough said Tuesday that the central bank will do everything possible to conduct normal business in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Manhattan.

"I'm following it very closely through contact with the New York Fed," McDonough told Dow Jones Newswires by telephone from Basel, Switzerland, where he is attending meetings at the Bank of International Settlements. "The New York Fed will make every effort to conduct business as normal."
