BoE's Tucker reappointed to MPC

Paul Tucker, Executive Director for Markets at the Bank of England, has been reappointed for a further three-year term as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee with effect from 1 June 2005.

As provided for by the Bank of England Act 1998, Mr Tucker has been reappointed to the MPC by Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England, after consultation with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
