Sri Lankan central bank bomber gets 200 years jail

SRI LANKA - The leader of the Tamil Tiger rebels Velupillai Prabhakaran has been sentenced to 200-years imprisonment today (Thursday) along with three other "LTTE cadres" by the Colombo High Court in connection with the attack on the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 1996.

Colombo High Court Judge, Sarath Ambepitiya, gave this ruling while delivering the judgement on the Central Bank Bomb attack on 31 January 1996, where nearly 100 people were killed and over a thousand injured, The Hindu newspaper
