Argentina's central bank raises dollar sell rate

ARGENTINA - The central bank said it raised the dollar's sell rate to 3.24 pesos from 3.19 and the buy rate to 3.14 from 3.09.

The rates are those used by the pool of banks and exchange houses trading dollars on behalf of the central bank.

The central bank has also said that it sold 78m pesos in 14-day LEBAC T-bills at an interest rate of 98.97%. At the previous auction, the rate was 98%.

The central bank also sold $8.2m in 14-day T-bills at 26.8%. At the previous auction, the rate was 34.9%.
