SNB's Hildebrand on monetary policy

The Swiss National Bank's interest rate policy is still having an expansionary effect in the current economic climate, SNB board member Philipp Hildebrand told Swiss daily Finanz und Wirtschaft on Monday 2 April.

However, this effect may soon come to an end which could create some uncertainty, he said.

Nevertheless, the inflation trend is still pointing upwards although the SNB expects the inflation dynamic is already beginning to slow.

The SNB in March raised interest rates by 25 basis points, as
