Slovakia keeps rates steady

All key interest rates were left unchanged by the board of the National Bank of Slovakia at its regular monthly meeting on 26 June.

The key two-week repo rate remains at 4.25% and the overnight rates at 5.75% for refinancing operations and 2.25% for "draining excess liquidity", the central bank said.

In March and April this year the National Bank of Slovakia lowered interest rates twice after having left them unchanged since February 2005.
