ECB's Papademos praises Ireland's economy

In a speech made in Dublin the ECB's vice president said the Irish economy was a good example to others. He also outlined and defended the ECB's proposed new three-tier rotating voting system.

The European Central Bank's vice president Lucas Papademos has praised Ireland's economy as an example to other European countries that substantial public investment, strong economic growth and low public deficits can go hand in hand.

In a speech to the Institute of European affairs in Dublin
