Riksbank names new head of financial stability

At its meeting on Tuesday 16 January, the Executive Board of the Swedish Riksbank appointed Mattias Persson the new head of the Financial Stability Department.

He succeeds Martin Andersson, who has been appointed adviser to the Executive Board. Mr Persson will take up his new post on 17 January.

Mattias Persson has a PhD in economics and has worked at the Riksbank since 2001. He has been deputy head of the department since June 2006 and since November 2003 has held the position of head of the
