Senior Swedish banker doubtful about EMU timetable

SWEDEN - Eva Srejber has said Sweden cannot enter the EMU currency union as early as 2005 if there is a referendum in the autumn of 2003.

This is the opinion of Eva Srejber, deputy governor of the Swedish Central Bank, who heads the group which coordinates the financial sector's EMU preparations, the BBC Monitoring Service reported.
