CBR submits draft 2002 monetary policy guidelines

RUSSIA - The Central Bank of Russia /CBR/ has submitted Monday 1 October the draft 2002 monetary policy guidelines to the State Duma, lower house of parliament, Deputy CBR Chairman Georgy Luntovsky told Prime-TASS Tuesday.

The draft forecasts the 2002 cumulative inflation at 12%-14% and reiterates the floating ruble exchange rate policy.

The law requires the CBR to submit the finalized monetary policy guidelines to the Duma by 1 December.
