Russia-Belarus Union budget gets second reading

The Russia-Belarus Union budget will be submitted for its second reading to the Parliamentary Assembly in Moscow on March 25, Russian State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov has declared.

According to him, the draft budget suggests 30 projects aimed at enhancing the security of the Union; innovations in the technical sphere, and output of competitive production. The draft budget totals RUR2.650bn (about $92.87m).

The draft budget passed its first reading on March 17, 2004.
