Fed to stay short of two governors

Senate Banking Committee chairman Chris Dodd has no plans to move three pending nominations to the Federal Reserve Board through his committee and onto the Senate floor, he said on 3 October.

"The Fed nominations are not a high priority at this point," Mr. Dodd said. "We've got some legislative stuff to get out."

One of the nominees, Larry Klane, is from Capital One Financial Corp, a company that originated some of the riskier mortgage products now under scrutiny from regulators.
