China fund involved in Lehman bid - report

China Investment Corporation (CIC), Beijing's sovereign wealth fund, is said to be involved in a possible bid for Lehman Brothers, a beleaguered US bank.

The Financial Times, a newspaper, reported Friday afternoon that CIC, JC Flowers - an investment company and Bank of America were considering a bid for the ailing bank.

The report did not detail the size of the bid, or whether the investors were looking to purchase the firm as a whole, or just parts of the business.

Lehman's share price had
