Swinging euro worries Bundesbank chief Welteke

Bundesbank chief Ernst Welteke has said the euro is at around its long-term average but abrupt swings in the exchange rate with the dollar could harm the global economy.

Bundesbank president Ernst Welteke has warned that abrupt swings in the euro-dollar exchange rate could harm the global economy.

Welteke told Bloomberg TV that the euro's rate against the dollar was currently at around its long-term average.

'But if abrupt adjustments occur then that would muddle up output relations
