Rohatinski steps down until new cbank law passed

Croatia's central bank governor Zeljko Rohatinski said on Friday he would step down until parliament passed a new law which will regulate the work of the monetary authority in line with European criteria.

The bill was prepared by the Croatian government and sent to parliament for debate on December 7, Rohatinski said in a statement. His move comes as no surprise after being announced to media some time ago for "when the bill reached parliament".
