The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) brings central banks and supervisors together to push financial firms to tackle climate risks. But what are central banks doing to green their own operations?

The Central Banking 2021 Corporate Services benchmarks found mixed levels of climate policy adoption at central banks. Two out of nine central banks surveyed had an emissions target. Average electricity consumption per full-time employee was 2.5 times higher at those central banks with
