Media relations is biggest job for comms teams

But website, social media and internal comms also account for significant portions of time

Media relations takes up the most time, on average, for central bank communications teams, but other duties are not far behind.

Data from Communications Benchmarks 2022 shows comms teams spent an average of 15.1% of their time working on media relations. A total of 28 central banks gave data on the breakdown of time spent on different communications tasks.
