Kenneth Rogoff
Kenneth Rogoff is Thomas D Cabot Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University. From 2001–03, he served as chief economist at the International Monetary Fund. He is widely known for his seminal work on exchange rates and central bank independence. Rogoff is co-author of best-selling 2009 book This time is different: eight centuries of financial folly and co-author of Foundations of international macroeconomics, which is used worldwide as graduate text. His 2016 book, The curse of cash, looks at the past, present and future of currency from standardised coinage to cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies. Rogoff is a member of Central Banking Publications’ Editorial Advisory Board.
