Andreas Dombret
Andreas Dombret began his career as a bank clerk with Dresdner Bank, before working for Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Rothschild. His last role in the private sector was working for Bank of America as head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and as vice-chairman for Europe, from 2005 to 2009.
Dombret was a member of the executive board of Deutsche Bundesbank from May 2010 to May 2018 and a member of the European Central Bank’s supervisory board from 2014–18. He holds a PhD from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nürnberg. Dombret is a member of the Central Banking Editorial Advisory Board.
