Analytics firm has assisted the Malaysian authorities in combating fraud

Scams and fraud are the plague of the global payments system. They have posed a particular problem in Malaysia, with a December 2023 study by market research company Ipsos indicating that 76% of Malaysians had encountered scams.
As a result, the Malaysian authorities have undertaken significant effort to address the concerns of citizens, notably to expedite incident reporting, fund tracing, payment freezing and earmarking, and the return of lost funds. The use of a tool called Money Trails
