
Buch: geopolitical risk is ‘our new business as usual’
ECB supervision chief tells EU parliament there is no trade-off between growth and effective supervision

The chair of the European Central Bank has told members of the European parliament (MEPs) that effective supervision remains crucial against a backdrop of increased geopolitical risk.
Claudia Buch was answering questions from parliamentarians following the publication today (March 27) of the bank’s annual report on supervisory activities.
