People: Bank of Canada appoints deputy governor
Sharon Kozicki promoted to deputy role; new BEAC director in Chad; Lithuania appoints board member; and more
Canada: The Bank of Canada announced on July 21 that it had named Sharon Kozicki as a new deputy governor. Kozicki will begin work on August 2, the central bank said.
Kozicki has served as an adviser to the governor and secretary to the Bank of Canada’s governing council since 2013. She led a monetary policy review in 2016. Previously, she was managing director of the Canadian economic analysis department at the Bank of Canada, and deputy manager of the international economic analysis
