The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has cut a further 25 basis points from its policy rate, as inflation continues to run well below the target range.

The rate cut brings the policy rate to 9.75%, and is the fourth and smallest cut the central bank has implemented this year. Rates have come down from 15% over the year.

Inflation averaged just 2.6% over the first nine months of 2018, relative to the central bank’s target range of 6–8%, and so far there is little sign of inflationary pressures
