Kenyan central bank sets out Imperial Bank progress
Several court cases to be heard in coming weeks regarding central bank’s handling of receivership
Three court cases are to be heard in the next month regarding the receivership of Imperial Bank, the Central Bank of Kenya said today (May 20).
Multiple cases have been filed in the country's high court by Imperial Bank stakeholders. The insitution is currently being managed by the Kenyan Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).
In the first instance, a hearing is scheduled for May 23 to deal with a lawsuit from one group of shareholders who are acting through their private companies and seeking
