ONS to launch new website in response to review

The new site will draw on feedback from more than 600 people; US Fred model is something to strive for, says the deputy national statistician for economic statistics

The UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) is set to launch its new website within the next couple of weeks, said its head of digital media, Matt Dukes, at an economic forum today (January 19).

The website has drawn frequent complaints from users. It was at the "top of the list", said Dukes, of a number of areas requiring improvement that were outlined in an interim report issued by former deputy governor of the Bank of England Charles Bean and published in December.

Bean's report criticised
