Protester shocks Draghi at ECB press conference
Draghi regains composure to deliver upbeat message
A protester interrupted today's European Central Bank (ECB) press conference, leaping directly in front of president Mario Draghi yelling "end ECB dictatorship".
She then tossed a collection of leaflets into the air and showered a stunned Draghi with confetti before members of the security team were able to restrain her.
After a few moments the president resumed his opening statement, confidently declaring there was "clear evidence the monetary policy measures put in place have been effective".
