Gobind Ganga appointed governor of Bank of Guyana
Former deputy, who has served in acting capacity since May, gets tenure
Gobind Ganga was appointed governor of the Bank of Guyana with effect from November 8, the country's president, Donald Ramotar, revealed today on his official facebook page.
Ganga has served as acting governor of the central bank since May, when his predecessor, Lawrence Williams, died of cancer. Williams, the bank's governor for 10 years, was 59.
