Governor of Central Bank of Jordan resigns
Faris Abdel Hamid Sharaf on Sunday left his role as governor of the Central Bank of Jordan.
A spokesperson for the central bank told CentralBanking.com the resignation was a "surprise".
Royal Decree has already been given for Mohammad Said Shahin, previously a deputy governor at the central bank, to take over as governor.
Sharaf had only been in the post since November 2010 and was due to serve for five years. No reason has been given for the sudden change and the spokesperson would not
