Boston Fed paper reviews Argentina's economic collapse

A Boston Federal Reserve paper published on Wednesday says the increase in input costs in Argentina during 2001 and 2002 played a significant role in the country's economic crisis.

Gita Gopinath and Brent Neiman, the paper's authors, use detailed firm-level customs data covering import transactions between 1996 and 2008 to empirically characterise the mechanics of trade adjustment during the Argentine crisis.
