BIS sees profits plummet

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has called its drastically lower profit for the financial year ended March 31, 2011, "more normal" than the record figure posted the year before.

The bank recorded a net profit of SDR816 million ($1.3 billion) for the financial year ending in 2011, down from SDR1.86 billion the year before.
