RBNZ paper on global bond yields

A paper, published in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's March Bulletin on Thursday, shows the interest rate on long-term paper in New Zealand is very sensitive to shocks on global bond yields.

Hamish Pepper and Enzo Cassino, the paper's authors, look at the relationship between New Zealand and overseas interest rates and examine how separating nominal interest rates into their components can provide insights into the shocks or disturbances affecting the New Zealand economy.
