Armenia cuts rates by 25bp
Decision comes as inflation remains well below 4% target
The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) announced today (July 30) that it had cut its key refinancing rate by 25 basis points to 7.75%.
It was the tenth consecutive rate cut as the bank tries to bring inflation up to its medium-term target of 4%.
Headline inflation stood at 0.8% in June, up from 0.3% the previous month. The figure was still significantly below the CBA’s target, though it came after the country experienced deflation for six consecutive months until April.
Core inflation in June remained
