Lagarde slightly injured in car accident

European Central Bank president Christine Lagarde was slightly injured in a car accident on March 24.

An ECB spokesperson said Lagarde “suffered a very minor injury”. The accident caused no other serious injuries. She was not operating the vehicle at the time.

Medical personnel examined Lagarde and fitted her with a neck brace, which she has been wearing at events this week. The ECB spokesperson said she was “fulfilling all her duties as normal”. She attended the opening of a Bank for
