People: Nigeria reappoints deputy governors
Czech National Bank names new deputy; New York Fed appoints chief operating officer; and more
Nigeria: The Nigerian Senate confirmed Aishah Ahmad and Edward Adamu for second terms as deputy governors of the central bank on December 14.
Both officials originally joined the Central Bank of Nigeria in March 2018. Before joining the central bank, Ahmad was executive director for retail banking at Diamond Bank, having spent 22 years as a corporate executive. She holds a master’s degree in finance and management from Cranfield School of Management in the UK.
