People: Georgia names new vice-governor
IMF appoints director of HR; Kuwaiti emir makes delayed board appointments; and more
Georgia: Nikoloz Gagua took office as vice-governor at the National Bank of Georgia on August 2. He leads the securities market supervision function.
Gagua was previously deputy minister of finance. He has worked as head of the macroeconomic analysis and forecasting department in the finance ministry, and has also held roles at Georgia’s national statistics office and the country’s municipal development fund. He holds a master’s degree in policy economics from Williams College in the US.
