United Kingdom: The Bank of England has appointed a new chief cashier as part of a reshuffle of senior staff triggered by the departure of Chris Salmon.

Salmon, who is understood to have taken a private sector role, was executive director for markets, and earlier in his career had been chief cashier himself. Andrew Hauser, formerly executive director for banking, payments and financial resilience, will take Salmon’s role, while Victoria Cleland, the previous chief cashier, is promoted to
