People: Kristin Forbes to depart BoE; Fed’s general counsel to retire

UK: Kristin Forbes is to step down as a member of the Bank of England's monetary policy committee (MPC) and return to academia when her term ends on June 30.

Forbes retained her affiliation with MIT's Sloan School of Management during her time as an external member of the committee and will now return to her professorship full-time.

She was known as one of the more hawkish members of the MPC, raising objections to elements of the BoE's post-Brexit easing measures in August and voting for rate
