Erdembileg Ochirkhuu joins Bank of Mongolia as first deputy shortly after new governor takes office

Mongolia: The Bank of Mongolia announced the appointment of a new first deputy governor over the weekend. Erdembileg Ochirkhuu takes over from Bold Javkhlan on a six-year term.

Erdembileg joins from Golomt Bank, where he has been first deputy director since 2014. Before then he served as an adviser to Newcom, a Mongolian investment company.

His earlier career saw Erdembileg spend six years at the International Monetary Fund as an economist and senior economist. He joined the IMF in 2007, after
