Police raid office of company owned by central bank governor’s wife
Greek police raided the office of a company owned by Lina Nikolopoulou-Stournaras, wife of the Bank of Greece governor Yannis Stournaras, on September 15. Afterwards, Nikolopoulou-Stournaras issued a statement in Greek saying "we all realise that the real goal is my husband".
Nikolopoulou-Stournaras denied all wrong-doing and went on to say the timing of the raid had been planned to serve what she said were specific goals. Information about the investigation had been leaked to the media to
